Megan practises in all aspects of criminal law, including drug offences, sexual offences, fraud, offences of violence and domestic violence, property offences and youth justice.
Megan joined Gilshenan & Luton as a Senior Associate in 2025, with extensive advocacy experience from Magistrates Court sentences and bail applications through to Childrens, District and Supreme Court trials.
Prior to joining the firm, Megan spent nine years at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, including as a Crown Prosecutor in serious criminal prosecutions. She then worked as a Principal Legal Officer in the Strategic Policy and Legislation branch of the Department of Justice, advising the Attorney-General and government agencies on criminal law reform, and later in the legal services branch of the Department of Youth Justice and Victim Support.
She is a member of the Women Lawyers Association of Queensland and holds a Master of Laws in International Law from the Australian National University.
